Learning the ropes as a record sleeve designer for Stiff Records back in the mid-80s, Jonathan Baker went on to become co-owner of Blackjacks through the '90s - a highly successful illustrated book packager and design studio. In 2001 Jonathan decided to pursue his own interests and set up Seagull Design - providing graphic design for print, mostly illustrated books. Seagull Design also designs and typesets a huge number of 'text only' books, including plate sections, and accepts a select number of commissioned book packages where we handle as much or as little of a project as required by the publisher.
